GIGS WE'VE DONE

It's been a slightly chaotic month this month, with the Leicester gig getting moved in time AND space and the Nottingham gig CANCELLED, FOUR London gigs (a slightly nervy evening at The Social, a GRATE afternoon back at the Union Tavern, LARKS and a new song in Whitechapel and a Validators reunion in Bloomsbury) and then a trip to the seaside at Ramsgate. ACTION PACKED!

RECORDS

The brand new single 'The Lesson Of The Smiths/The Gay Train' is out TODAY! You can get it from us, through Amazon or even on iTunes (details at http://www.mjhibbett.net/buy/thelessonofthesmiths.htm) and if you'd like to do that, well, that'd be GRATE! Two A-Sides, three new recordings, a Smiths cover version and a THRILLING radio edit all, along with a whole live album on the multimedia, all for under a fiver - how can you go wrong?

RADIO

So far we've had songs played on 6Music, Xfm Scotland, BBC Ulster, Merseyside, Lancashire and Bristol, Radio Seagull, Phoenix, 209 Radio Cambridge, Cherryade, Dandelion and the MIGHTY Marcelle Van Hoof's show, and I understand we may be getting a play on that nice Mr Steve Lamacq's Radio 2 show this week. That's the ones we know about so far anyway, if anyone's heard it anywhere else do please let me know!

"The Lesson Of The Smiths" is getting most plays at the moment, closely followed by NOT "The Gay Train" but "Never Going Back To Aldi's" - I didn't expect that!

OTHER THINGS

We've updated our WEB PRESENCE all over the place, to coincide with the single. The website's been redesigned (http://www.mjhibbett.net), our myspace (http://www.myspace.com/mjhibbett) now has new songs, and we've even updated the Special Offers in the SHOP (http://www.mjhibbett.net/buy/special.htm) with even MORE hot bargains. We've also taken our first step into web advertising at Dinosaur Comics (http://www.qwantz.com) - I'm not sure if it's done much good, but it's one of my favourite webpages EVER so it's just an honour to be there!

And even in the MIDST of Single Release FRENZY we're still thinking of the FUTURE, with our return to the studio in a couple of weeks, when we'll be starting work on the NEXT album. We're hoping to take LESS than three years to record it this time!

And that's the lot for this month - there may well be MORE coming up as May progresses, so do please check the website, and I'll see you all back here next month!

Cheers,

Mark
