Stats: Gigs By Month
If we ignored the RED boxes of 2006, this graph would look pretty much as we expect it to - September and October would be the busiest, as that's when PUB GIGS kick off again after the summer of a) festivals b) students being at home, with SPRING being close behind it. The summer months, as mentioned, would tend to be quiet and then things grind to a halt in December/January when everybody's too busy a) Christmas Shopping b) being sad to be back at work. But HANG ON - look at it WITH the RED boxes and things look RATHER different, especially in JULY which is suddenly the second busiest month of the year, due to the fact that we TOURED then and did A LOT of gigs (12 gigs in one month: my most ACTIVE EVER). Similarly the rush of Christmas Gigs in 2006 boosts Pluckly Little December up a good few notches, while February and April get similar UPLIFTS. It's been an unusually spaced year all round really, with not much at ALL happening in March and September which previously were very active. Finally, it's notable that, as with 2005, I managed to play at least one gig in ever calendar month. I've a feeling that 2007's general plan of playing LESS may mean this doesn't happen again...
