This shows the top ten (ish) venues for all gigs, then solo gigs, then Validators gigs. As usual, this is ONLY for gigs from 1998-2006 inclusive, as that's when full records are available. With those CAVEATS in mind, let's tabulate!All Gigs

Not a huge amount of change from last year in the placings here - I did a LOT of gigs (as i may possibly have mentioned) in 2006 and concentrated on similar CITIES, but I played in a lot of different venues WITHIN those cities, which is why places like The Vic, The Charlotte and The 12 Bar, none of which I've played in for AGES, are still so high up. In fact, the 50 gigs of the year took place in 37 different venues!
One big change from last year is that there's a MUCH wider range of venues for The Validators chart. Last time around there were only 6 places we'd been to more than once, whereas this time we'd paid quite a few repeat visits. By contrast, I've had to cut down the solo gigs chart quite a bit, as there were fourteen venues tying for ninth place!
It would APPEAR then that although i went to lots of different places, I went to quite a few that I'd been to before. To be PRECISE, of the 37 venues visited in 2006 I'd been to 15 of them at least once before, which actually come to think of it isn't THAT many, and means therefore that i wasn't COMPLETELY playing it safe. PHEW!
